Artists and labels registered on NeoMusicStore can now also use our back office to sell and track sales made on most large audience music stores such as iTunes Music Store, Amazon MP3, eMusic, Napster, Rhapsody, … The good news, is that contrary to most aggregators we don’t take any commission made on those websites (because we think there’s no reason to take commissions once content is delivered and your work is done).

We’re currently working on the new labels back office so those who tried to access it lately and weren’t successful can now login . Among enhancements, you will see Wave support, additional metadata, lyrics support, a progress bar for uploads, a new widget maker and a dedicated app to design your own music store. You can now fully customize the appearance of your widgets in your back office. Go into the Promotion section then select widgets to build your MySpace, blog, … widgets. More will come once the migration to v3 is complete.

As you know, NeoMusicStore is not yet another music store. We offer direct selling for digital downloads but also for physical goods. Besides, direct selling we offer many promotion tools to host a music store on your own website or blog, put widgets everywhere around the web, etc. Part of version 3, we introduce now 2 new promotion tools focusing on video. One for live, the other for on-demand.
Live Broadcast. Concert, showcase, home DJ set, rehearsals, backstage, after show, studio work, music training or simple chat with your public, you can now stream live on the Internet with a simple webcam. We’ve integrated the best live services to broadcast on the Internet to an unlimited audience with a simple DSL connection. Live can be embedded in your own webpages and of course is added to NeoMusicStore artists/labels pages.
Send video footage to multiple websites at once. Ever dreamt to send your content in 1 click to multiple video websites such as  YouTube, DailyMotion, MySpace, Facebook, Google Video, MetaCafe, Blip, Yahoo, Veoh, Vimeo … etc ? No more typing/uploading 10 times the same thing, everything is sent to these popular websites from  your NeoMusicStore back office. Of course these contents will also be added to the artist/label page on NeoMusicStore.

As some of you already know, we have a big update planned for end of March (hmm, that will probably be postponed with the current status we have, but that was the initial target date).
The first step (which was to move the site to new servers) has been achived and we’re now focusing on the development part.
One of the following steps was this blog and “tada”, as you see, the blog is now active.
We are now concentrating on the back office (both artists and labels) that will receive a major overhaul (as the other sections of the site), and we hope to make it available by the end of the week (with easter coming, we can consider the end of the week as being Monday)
New sections will come, such as a guide for musicians wanting to maximize their online usages to promote and sell their music (with competitors in it, because, as you know we’re not simply yet another music store, so we can recommend other services we think are useful for artists, labels, and even customers) and a ideas section which will help us enhance NeoMusicStore.
One of the key feature of the coming version 3 is that artists, labels but also anyone can build its own store, with its own content and design, so even our site will receive a new design, that will mainly concentrate on being simple to really put the focus on the content contrary to most music stores that push their brand and an unique (even if not user-centric) design. So the back offices will receive this new treatment first as you guess.
